  • Clem is a self-taught French artist, born in Lyon in 1973. He currently lives and works in Clermont-Ferrand, in the center of France.
Art and painting have always been very important in his life, but his first work dates back to 1996. At that time, his paintings were mainly based on the work of different material through abstract pieces of work.
Beginning in 2012, Clem decided to revive his childhood by introducing characters of his youth.
He draws his inspiration from Marvel’s superheroes and Walt Disney or Looney Tunes characters, which he mixes with street art, graffiti or ads from the same period.
From this interesting mix emerges a colorful, flashy and even trashy composition.
Clem works like a DJ, mixing endlessly his inspiration for his work.
His work is strongly influenced by the pioneer Pop Art artists like Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol.
“Before everything, I’m having fun through my art work and I open you the doors to my world” – Clem
