Photographic Illustrations By Josh Dykgraaf.

Otono
This piece was constructed using images of pink leaves I picked up in East Melbourne, Australia during autumn in May 2019.
I rigged up a simple studio and shot images of the leaves from many angles, cut them out and individually placed them into the form of a flamingo.

Kooka
This image is a photographic manipulation – it’s part of a series I’ve been working on this year making animal forms from landscapes and natural materials that I’ve shot myself. This one uses leaves I collected at Fitzroy falls in NSW, Australia. The branch is the actual trunk of a gum tree – the colour’s haven’t been altered aside from shading.

Noctua

Part of my ongoing Terraform series, this piece is manipulated from images of autumn leaves I picked in Melbourne Australia.
