Sneaker – Air Jordan 4 Retro “Manila”
ABOUT SNEAKER
Shortly after re-introducing the ever-classic Air Jordan 4 “Fire Red” to the market, the Jumpman family is set to highlight the retro silhouette once again, this time for an extremely exclusive release overseas. Fittingly entitled the Air Jordan 4 “Manila”, this impending installment serves as a love letter to the Philippines and is reflective of the country’s fiery passion for Michael Jordan and the game of basketball.
Visually, the upper halves of this rendition are primarily hued in various shades of green in an effort to best translate the luscious and tropical islands of the Philippines. These land in regions such as the tongues which have been texturized with ostrich leathers, the suede-infused lateral/medial panels as well as the toe tip overlays which are presented with pebbled leather material. On top of that, contrasting hits of stark black apply to the netted mid-foot, cages, sock liners, tongue branding and heel counters, while subtle pops of yellow poke out through the rear’s Jumpman embellishment, the tongue’s Flight branding and the mid-foot tab which appropriately spells out “Manila.” Furthermore, the interior side of the tongues arrive numerically marked out of 150, and each pair will come packaged with a yellow Jordan Brand hangtag that also features the “Manila” moniker on it.
Riding down underneath, the midsole unit balances out neutral tones of off-white and black, and comes rounded out down below with accents of red and blue towards the forefoot to nod to the Southeast Asia nation’s flag.
