Q: Hey what’s up QD it’s a pleasure to meet you.
How are things going for you over on your side?
A: Nice to meet you as well. Things are about the same for me, besides being affected by the mercy of COVID-19. I have more time to spend with my sons and look out for my family.
Q: So for those who don’t know you tell us a little about yourself?
A: I’m from Petersburg, VA. I have a very unique sound. I love to write, I’m a father and a creator. I wear a lot of hats but ever since I was younger people have always been drawn to my music.
Q: Tell us about your writing process and what inspires you to pick up the pen?
A: That’s a great question. I approach music by listening to the beat and trying to see what would be relatable but at the same time true to me.
Q: Do you have a favorite artist?
A: I have people that I would listen to forever but not Stan over (LOL). But I am my favorite.
Q: Who would you like to collab with if you had a choice?
A: YB
Q: We really like your music what Inspires your sound?
A: I have been doing music for a while now and I use to try to be like who I looked up to. I just recorded and recorded until I found what I sound like today.
Q: Which artists would be in your top 5 ?
A: Hov, 3 Stacks, Wayne, Cole, Kendrick
Q: My favorite track at the moment is ” Feels Good ”
What’s your favorite track on your album?
A: First, I appreciate that your favorite is feels good. When I was finding myself again this was the first song I wrote but the second song I recorded (Goalds was first).
Q: How old were you when you started rapping?
A: I was about 15. I remember I use to make mixed CD’s and put me and my homies songs on them. Called it “Quan’s Mixtape For Dummies”. I’m sure someone else was doing this and I was inspired and just edited it and put my name.
Q: Do you have an artist or group your influenced by?
A: The Whole Wide World is my influence.
Q: I liked pretty much most of the songs on your album ” Alienated ”
what inspired this project ?
A: I had never put out a full body of work and I had liked the Kanye West 7 song idea and 7 is my favorite number but I just felt I needed a nice even number. My OCD!
Q: What are you listening to now music and sound wise?
A: YB, Lil Baby, Future, PND, and those grinding like myself trying to get to that next level.
Q: How would you describe your sound?
A: I make music that feels good. I like to sound cool .
