HIP HOP POP UP BOOK

The Hip-Hop Pop-Up Book is a piece of art that celebrates the original four elements of hip-hop: Breakdancing, Graffiti, DJ-ing, and Emceeing. We’ve created a fully interactive Pop-Up experience filled with stylish and love-able characters, set in the gritty backdrop of late 1970’s New York City. The book has a completely original fictional story penned by Hip Hop Pioneer Grandmaster Caz – that sheds light on the positive energy that the Hip-Hop movement provided during this era, when the oppressive living conditions gave way to creativity, self-expression, opportunity and most importantly, community.

The book introduces you to the young B-Boy Bizzy Biz 136, his older brother and budding DJ, Kev, his school-mate (and secret crush) Foxxy along with many more of his neighbors, friends and foes as they all take part in each of the four elements of Hip-Hop! With a smooth and easy to read rap, BiZ takes you through a Hip-Hop filled day in his Boogie-Down Bronx neighborhood.
