Once seen, Gogo Blackwater is a woman who is hardly forgotten. With a gaze a strong as her distaste for Lars Von Trier films, Blackwater is not simply stunning but rather staggering. Simultaneously containing alluring vulnerability & a restrained ferocity, she is truly a lupine beauty.

Gracing the cover of their book “SuicideGirls: Hard Girls, Soft Light”, Gogo has become one of the faces most recognized with the SuicideGirls brand. She is one of the featured models in theSuicideGirls: UK Holiday video & most recently her likeness has been caricatured for the Spicy Horse online game BigHead BASH!

In the world once known as “alternative modeling”, she is almost omnipresent. She has been featured on the cover of 14 magazines world wide with as many inside spreads. She has been featured in several music videos including “Scars” by The Fire and a video for “Varúð” by Sigur Rós. She is also the face on two EP’s by Sol Invicto, Initium & Initium II.

Blackwater is unique in the world of modeling, in that her look & her interests are almost indivisible. From her Tom Waits “Rain Dogs” knuckle tattoos to her Winterfell, Princess Mononoke & Dr. Who inspired photoshoots, she is a girl who wears her influences on her sleeves.

When she is not modeling, Gogo can be found curled up on the couch watching Chan-Wook Park & Alejandro Jodorowsky films, playing Skyrim or burying her face in another Haruki Murakami novel with her two dogs & one cat at her feet.

Bruce Lee Playing By Dan & Dave

Bruce Lee Playing Cards 1

Bruce Lee Playing Cards 4

Dan and Dave have been called “visionaries” in the art of magic and cardistry. They are world renowned for their unique style and transformation of the craft into visual art. As professional instructors of magic with years of experience authoring books and producing DVDs, they understand the core concepts and techniques used by today’s most acclaimed magicians and can help you become the next.

Bruce Lee Playing Cards

Earlier this year we teamed up with Bruce Lee Enterprises to produce a new deck of playing cards inspired by the martial arts master.

We are proud and beyond excited to present to you today, on Bruce Lee’s birthday, the official Bruce Lee deck of playing cards.

73 years ago, the Year of The Dragon, November 27, 1940, on the hour of the dragon, Bruce Lee was born. Known to the world as a martial artist, actor and philosopher, Bruce Lee was a visionary, and continues to inspire new generations.

These playing cards honor Bruce Lee’s legacy.

The Chinese dragon design on the backs of the cards celebrates his birth. The faces of the cards were inspired by the iconic tracksuit he wore in Game of Death, and feature a black stripe running through them, “like water”.

On each of the cards is a different philosophical quote from Bruce Lee’s teachings. The Aces however, which are traditionally the most elaborate cards, were left blank to symbolize a free mind.

The special monogram brings Bruce Lee and Dan and Dave Buck together as one, unifying their art forms under the teachings of Jeet Kune Do, and Bruce Lee’s philosophy of using no way as way and having no limitation as limitation. In one direction, the symbol reads BL, flip it over however, and DB is seen, as if by magic.

The Jokers are no joke. In stark contrast with the rest of the deck are two black and white picture cards featuring Bruce Lee in action.

Popstars And Cokeheads Cans Series By Greg Mike

Born and raised in Connecticut, childhood trips to NYC in the mid-’80s exposed Greg Mike to the creative potential of reinventing public spaces through art and design. Always obsessed with the boundless energy and crisp line work of iconic American mid-century cartoons, by his early teens Greg began using the walls of his native state to fuse these two passions together. Mixing the take-no-prisoners bombast of classic NYC street art with the eagle-eyed precision of mass market illustration and animation has been his goal from the beginning. Further inspired by his deep involvement with skate culture and his intersections with the fashion world, he has become known for pieces that incorporate vivid explosions of incandescent color filtered through a Surrealist Pop Art perspective. Populated by gleefully twisted characters, his world is unsettling, mischievous and uniquely captivating.

Greg’s first solo collection, “Popstars and Cokeheads,” was exhibited in Atlanta, Miami, and San Francisco. Met with rave reviews, the success of “Popstars and Cokeheads” has stoked anticipation for his new solo pieces and collaborations coming in 2012. Still riffing on his established cartoonish elements, his newest work incorporates geometric patterns, shapes and mixed textures. His recent mural in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District hints at his evolving aesthetic.

Currently based in Atlanta, GA, Greg is the founder and creative director of ABV, a multi-platform studio specializing in branding, apparel design and visual production. A hub for Atlanta innovators, ABV also functions as a gallery exhibiting artists from around the world,  highlighting emerging talents alongside globally recognized names.
