“Take a turn with the specially created and programmed video games and pinball machines, or play a round of psychedelic foosball. Harkening back to the golden age of arcade games, contemporary punk rock and graffiti culture, this neon-laden, interactive, mixed media installation gives the audience a chance to genuinely engage with the work without feeling the pressure of the traditional gallery environment.”- Faile
This event of arcade nostalgia and mixture of pop/punk culture was brought to you by the Brooklyn based duo Faile it is from their “Deluxx Fluxx” exhibition which was unveiled at Miami Beach on December 3rd to the 7th 2013. LOOK HUMAN BRAND BIO:
The concept for the Look Human brand was developed with the intention to create a momentary reflection of our ever-changing, pop culture through design. Owners, Michael Limes and Tanisha Robinson decided to tap into the deep well of Columbus, Ohio’s talented creative professionals to fuel the force behind the branding and development of LookHUMAN.com. With our office located on the Columbus College of Art and Design (CCAD) campus, the majority of our graphic designers and digital illustrators are CCAD alumni who have just begun their careers in the creative industry. We also have a team of social media marketing professionals who are responsible for spreading our designs across every inch of the internet.
Our Storenvy shop is curated and maintained by me, Maria Maggio. I specifically choose each and every design that I add to the Look Human shop to match the eclectic interests of the Storenvy shoppers. Our method of creative inspiration is unique to say the least. The greater portion of our days are spent visiting regions of the internet that exist for no reason other than delightful, mindless entertainment. We carefully sift through the content of these recreational websites in search of the most popular social media trends and topics. We then share the information we’ve gathered with one another during our weekly meeting — one that bares a striking resemblance to an episode of TMZ — and brainstorm ideas for new designs based on the research we’ve done. And with the flexibility provided by our on-demand printing process, our exploration of self-expression through design is virtually endless.
Outside of designing t-shirts, we take a great deal of pride in our community and make sure to set aside time to give back on a regular basis. In addition to routinely volunteering at our local homeless shelter, we also work with The United Way of Central Ohio. For our most recent United Way project, our office painted nutritional designs onto lunch trays that were distributed to inner city schools by The Children’s Hunger Alliance.
At HUMAN, we celebrate the individuals who refuse to be tamed; the fun-loving, free-spirits living their lives one wild party at a time. Our designs offer an indelible souvenir of all those crazy moments that leave you feeling forever young, wild, and free.
“Live for the moment. Dress for the moment.”

ABOUT PRINT PROXY
Hi, I’m Jon, the owner Print Proxy- an online retailer of awesome t shirts. We’re based in Columbus, Ohio which is great, because we work out of coffee shops, something Columbus has no shortage of. We began designing t-shirts in the middle of September, 2013 and I print them in my basement. Upon starting Print Proxy, I was asked by a friend why I wasn’t pursing something more creative than t-shirts. Reasonable question, I suppose! I answered him- “I think you’re talking about innovation. We like t-shirts. People like t shirts. So, t-shirts are our vehicle to be ‘more’ creative.” There’s a difference between creativity and innovation. I believe that managing creativity leads to innovation. So, hopefully one day, we can bring some really fresh ideas to the apparel decorating world, but for now we’ll just try to make you smile with awesome t shirts.
Our process begins with a cup of coffee and google.
-We pay attention to pop culture and what people are talking about. Get more coffee.
-Then, we apply our awesome design skills to make shirts people will love. Get more coffee.
-Then, we try to get shirts in front of the people we think will like them. Get more coffee.
-Then, I go into a dark basement, crank some music and print some shirts! Get more coffee.
-Then, we hope people enjoy our shirts and let us know how much they like them by commenting with emoticons on our storenvy. Celebrate with coffee.
We source all of our apparel from American Apparel because the shirts are super soft and they fit well. (Really important components of a new favorite t shirt) We use a process called direct to garment (dtg) printing because it allows use to make every t shirt to order.
We hope you enjoy browsing through our t shirts! Thanks for checking out our shop!!
