I was thrilled to be asked create to design the cover of Mental Floss magazine. I wanted the cover to be very energetic to accompany the topic. I also created art for the opener to go with the cover.

I had the pleasure of creating this full page illustration for Cooking Light magazine for an article on pressure cookers. The article covered what pressure cookers work best with different recipes so we went with the style of old boxing posters. I love how it turned out and it was fun creating little anthropomorphic pressure cookers.

I was pleased to work with CMYK magazine to create lettering for the Table of Contents, Facebook Poll spread and Featured page. I put my own spin on the “CMYK” colors used throughout the magazine and gave it a more muted tone. I was pretty psyched to work with all the copy and fill the pages with lots of lettering.

I was listening to the Vandals and I always used to think that the lyric was “shake your onion like a funion” I was about to draw THAT but of course I had to do some research. I then came to find that the lyric was “shake your onion like a grunion, tryin’ to spawn” I learned grunions are some little fish that dig their butt in the ground while another little fish flaps around her to mate.

I created this illustration for The Good Life Project for new merchandise that is coming out. The Good Life Project has great interviews with Jonathan Fields and I encourage you to check out the site!
