It’s a pleasure to sit down with you 88VLEXX and you taking your time out to sit with us and chop it up. How are you doing today?
A. The pleasure is mine,everything’s great as always.
Q. Tell the viewers alittle about yourself
A. Well I’m from Lisbon,Portugal.I’m 22 years old and,even though I love trap,I’m also a metalhead.
Q. How long have you been producing beats?
A. I’ve been making beats for 3 and half years.
Q. I like your sound it’s a fusion of alot of different sounds sorta like a metal trap. What or who has inspired your sound?
A. I can say that,since I was a little kid,I used to listen to alot of metal bands with my older brother like ”Slipknot,Metallica,Limp Bizkit and Disturbed” who inspire me alot,but I didn’t start producing trap metal in 2017,I only got to trap metal when I saw ”Zillakami” and ”SosMula” for the first time in 2018,I totally fell in love with trap metal and that’s where all started.
Q. When did you make your first beat?. Also when did you first fall in love with producing music?
A. Â I made my first beat in February 2017,right after listening to ” Look At Me ” by ”XXXTENTACION”.
I was so in love with that aggressiveness that the beat has.I felt that I had to learn quickly on how to make beats.
That’s when I fell in love with music production. I’ve always loved music,but I never had the curiosity to try to produce it.
Q. Just throwing a random question out there what is your favorite anime ?
A. ”Demon Slayer”. The best goddamn anime ever made.
Q. Cool and how would you describe your sound ?
A. To be honest,I don’t really know.I describe it as music to rage on,to get hyped,and to punch some dudes in the face (on the moshpit of course) I guess.
Q. Do you have a favorite rapper? Artist? Producer?
A. XXXTENTACION & Zillakami has to be my all time favourite Artists. And Producers,I really look up to ”Yung Vro” and ”Thraxx”
Q. Who would be in your top 5 ?
A. My top 5 would be,XXXTENTACION,Zillakami,
Q. What would you say is one of the biggest hurdles in making beats?
A. For me it’s the drums.With a heavy metal guitar melody you can do alot of different vibes,but get the RIGHT vibe,sometimes it’s difficult.
Q. How often do you make beats?
A. It depends on if I’m tired or not. Unfortunately I don’t make it through music.I gotta work 9 hours for 5 days every week.But normally, 1 or 2 beats per week.
Q. If you had the chance to produce for anyone or with anyone who would it be?
A. Zillakami,that’s my dream collab. And X too…but sadly,R.I.P X
Q. Have you done any collabs with other producers?
A. Yes I did,I’ve got collabs with Mars Mission,S1Ninja,NetuH and a few more.
